『オドの魔法学校』を読書中なので、ふと思い立って手持ちのマキリップ原書を調べてみたり。
訳本が出なければ原書を読めばいいじゃない？と買ったはいいが、数年前から積読しているマキリップ原書の数々（汗）はこんな感じです。
もう単なるコレクションになってます。でもいいよカヴァー画がどれもこれも美しいから！（←そういう問題と違う）
もうちょっと精神的に余裕が出てきたら洋書読みも再開したいものですのう……。


あ、『In the Forests of Serre』だけはちゃんと読んだんだった。
舞台になった森の魔法に満ちた雰囲気が素晴らしかったです〜。


次の邦訳はどの作品になるかなぁ。
つーか、何でもいいのでマキリップの邦訳出して下さい。

三日間で３章まで読了。ブリッチとのやりとりにはホロリときましたよ……。ううう（涙）。
注文していた文庫がやっと届いたので明日からは邦訳へ突入致します〜。
明日明後日で上巻は読んでしまいたい気持ちもあるんですが、勿体無いかな。どうしようかな。

邦訳が届くまでちょろっと読んでみようかな〜と未読ＢＯＸの中から昨晩取り出してもそもそ読んでいます。辞書はなるべく引かない方向で英語の読解力のテスト（苦笑）を兼ねてみようかなと。うおおブリッチってばなんてオトコマエなんだ！　とか思いつつ読んでます〜。流石あの方が憎からず思うだけの殿方であることよ！！
第一章はフィッツのリハビリと前巻の復習要素が多いのでわかったような気になってますが、この先はちょっと難しいかもー。
しかし、ロビン・ホブは難しい単語を連続で繰り出してこないので意味を取るのはさほど難しくないような気がします。作中での特殊な用語（＜技＞とか＜気＞のような）は邦訳でごく大まかに頭の中にインプットされてますしね。
読み通す事が目的ではなく、邦訳が届くまでのつなぎだと考えれば気楽に読めると云うものです。（←志が低い）

先日ちょいとむしゃくしゃする出来事があったので、ぽちっとLiveship Traders のペーパーバックを三冊買ってしまいましたですよ。
その他にMedeaval BaebesのＣＤも三枚買いましたよヲホホホホ〜。
って云い訳に過ぎませんねそうですね（苦笑）。いつ読むんですかワタクシ読みきれるんですかワタクシ？と思いつつ、一巻目から三巻目までの最終ページを確認してみましたら、分厚いファーシーア三部作よりもさらに分厚い事が発覚。
いやこれもしも邦訳が出たら文庫の上下巻でもちょっとしたハードカヴァー並みの値段になるのではなかろうか。
だってファーシーアの最終巻の邦訳も一冊あたり１５００円（本体 税込価格）なんですよ。密度も濃いし面白いしそれだけの価値のある物語ではありますけれど、文庫でこの値段って結構強気のお値段ですよねぇ……。貧乏人にはつらいわー。でも買うけどさ！


そして三冊で３０００ページ近い原書を読破できる日は果たして来るのでしょうか。こうごきたい（笑）。
つーか、コレクション（苦笑）しているマキリップの原書をすべて読みきれる日はくるのかしらどうかしら〜。

邦訳だとＰ１１６のフィッツとシェイドの対話。
原題を考えるまでもなく、ここの対話は物語の肝の部分になるのでしょう。
重い言葉です。




上記の内容とは関係ございませんが、邦訳を読む際に一喜一憂どころか、一喜八憂（表現としておかしいんですが割合にするとこんな感じなんですもの〜）しながら読んでいるので、大変に疲れます……。
絶対に甘っちょろい展開にならないとわかっているからこそこのシリーズに没頭している訳なんですが、常に予想の上を行く不幸さ加減なんだよなぁ（嘆息）。
フィッツのヘタレ振りは結構自分の萌えツボかも？と思っていましたが、モリーが不憫過ぎるので彼への評価は只今暴落中です☆
アナタが誠実で不器用なのはよーくわかってるけどさぁ、正しい行為は必ずしも求められる行為ではないんだよ〜。女心をわかれよ頼むよフィッツ！！とかなんとかぶつぶつ云いながら２３章まで読了（笑）。
うわー、下巻の残りもさくさく減ってるよ！


続きが出るまでに感想文書き終わるかな〜。

文庫で云うとＰ４９８からＰ４９９のあたり（１５章）。
今までも謎めいた事ばかり云っていた道化ですが、フィッツとのこのやりとりを読む限りでは、この物語は今後ファンタジーとしての色彩を濃くしていくのか？と思った箇所でした。どうなのかな。
『騎士（シヴァルリ）の息子』読了後の印象では架空歴史物の印象の方が強くて、ファンタジーとしての飛翔感よりもどっしりとした安定感のある生活描写を堪能しつつ読み進めていたものですから。



それにしても日本語を入力するのとは比べものにならない程、英語入力には時間がかかりますなぁ。
もう目はチカチカで頭はクラクラですわ！（笑）
引用部分はペーパーバック１ページ分にも満たないのですが、確認しながらやってるとあっと云う間に時間が過ぎていくぞ〜。

周回遅れでひとりロビン・ホブ祭りをひっそりと（？）開催中の羽鳥です。皆様こんばんは。（←挨拶）
疲れているので十時間は睡眠を取りたいのに続きが気になって気になって夜も八時間しか眠れません。（←夏の最中に水ごりをしているのと同じ程度のつらさ？）
そうこうしている間にもうじき上巻を読了しそうな勢いですよ。困りましたね〜。最終巻は今月末の発売なのに。
こうなったら脳内マリー・アントワネット様の忠告通り、パン（邦訳）がなければお菓子（原書）を食べる（読む）しかないのでしょうか（知りません）。

なんかワタクシ、思ってた以上にヴェリティが好きみたいですね（笑）。
文庫もペーパーバックもヴェリティの台詞にばかり付箋を貼り付けてますですよ……。

もしくは感想文を更新できない期間の穴埋め企画。

有能な人物が心許せる相手に向かってちょろりと弱音をこぼしてしまうシチュエーションに弱いワタクシにとってはたまらなくツボな箇所でしたわ〜。
